Application Details
Electric motors are used extensively in many industrial environments to perform a variety of tasks and functions, such as turning shafts, driving pumps, fans and power tools.
Variable frequency drives are used to control the speed and torque of electric motors, typically three-phase AC induction or three-phase brushless DC motors, using specially developed control methods such as variable frequency drives (VFD) or field-oriented control (FOC). Servo motors are used when maximum accuracy is required for motion acceleration, speed and position, such as in industrial automation, robotics, CNC machinery, to achieve the highest energy efficiency and reliable performance.
A frequency converter is used to control the speed and torque of an electric motor—typically a three-phase AC induction or three-phase brushless DC motor—using a specially developed control method such as VFD or FOC.
A servomotor is used when motion acceleration, velocity and position require maximum precision - such as in industrial automation, robotics, and CNC machinery - to achieve the highest energy efficiency and reliable performance.
